I don't necessarily consider my self either Transcendentalist or Dark Romantic. I can say that their are certain things I agree with each one but their are also things that I don't agree with so I don't consider my self either one.

I heard "The Masque of Red Death". What I got from this story was how Poe acknowledged evil. I think this story is a good example in his way to contradict the transcendentalist because hes trying to show the reader peoples minds don't just revolve around pure good it as well has evil in it.
-The Raven-
Over all I liked the poem. I did find it hard to believe in the bird, well more like the meaning the poet was trying to give the raven. I can see how this poem can be against transcendentalist but in my opinion its kind of hard to catch on to it in poems or stories.
